West Ham United have been a mixed bag this season as they often follow up a positive result with a negative one, which certainly hasn’t helped their potential European push.
Interestingly, the Hammers have arguably one of the strongest squads outside of the top six, so they should be doing a lot better than what their current league position suggests.
Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United will welcome London rivals Crystal Palace to the London Stadium in their next Premier League fixture. The Eagles haven’t exactly been at their best all season so they’ll be desperate to turn things around, which could make it difficult for the Hammers to secure all three points.
So, Pellegrini will be relying on these TWO players to secure the bragging rights later on today…
Javier Hernandez is slowly starting to mould into the player that West Ham United thought they had secured back in the summer of last year. He has produced four goals and one assist this season, which isn’t a bad return considering around half of his 12 appearances have been from the substitutes’ bench.
So, with Crystal Palace heading into today’s game off the back of a 3-1 defeat away at Brighton and Hove Albion, the Hammers will be hoping that Hernandez can add to their misery by finding the back of the net.
Robert Snodgrass has established himself as a first-team regular in the current campaign, which can be put down to a number of injuries to midfield players as he has chopped and changed between a central and wide role.
The Scotsman managed to secure two assists in the Hammers’ last outing against Cardiff City, so Pellegrini will be hoping that he can carry his positive form into today’s game by producing another impressive performance.
