‘He’s finished’, ‘Overrated and past it’ – Man United fans demand sale of legend on Twitter

The Red Devils in the Transfer Tavern are hoping Mourinho will get rid of the deadwood from his United squad in the next two transfer windows. 

If there’s one thing United have learnt from the season so far, it’s that Manchester City’s ruthless approach to the transfer market last summer has enabled them to step up a gear during the current campaign. Guardiola decided to sell plenty of talented players last summer in order to make way for the next generation of City stars.

City waved goodbye to Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna and Aleksander Kolarov to name just a few, and although some of his decisions were deemed a little rash at the time, his fire sale has clearly paid off so far.

With that being said, it is no wonder that plenty of United supporters are beginning to encourage Mourinho to adopt the same attitude in the near future.

But according to reports from YahooMourinho may not need to instigate a mass exodus himself, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hoping to secure a move away from the club before the end of the season.

Ibrahimovic has understandably struggled for form and game time since he recovered from a cruciate ligament injury in November.

Although he was once a firm fan-favourite at Old Trafford, the reaction on Twitter to the Ibrahimovic news suggests the majority of supporters would have no qualms about his departure this month.
