The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the current form of their 28-year-old defensive midfielder, Morgan Schniederlin. The former Manchester United and Southampton man has started the Toffees last five matches and has impressed alongside Idrissa Gana Gueye in the middle of the park of the Goodison Park outfit. You can read Gana Gueye’s comments on his midfield partner on the Everton Website.
| “Morgan is in good form and that is good for the team because he is an important player.”
What have you made of the form of @SchneiderlinMo4 and @IGanaGueye?https://t.co/nOxZR45Utw

The French midfielder has been at Everton for just over a year since joining the club after a disappointing spell at Manchester United in January 2017. Schneiderlin has come in for criticism from the Everton fans on a number of occasions over the last year. although he looks to be hitting the form that he found at Southampton that warranted him getting his move to United in July 2015.
Schneiderlin still has a long way to go to convince all of the Everton fans that he belongs on Merseyside, although if he can build on his form and continue it into next season then it shouldn’t take too long. His Senegalese midfield partner also commented on his recent form, saying that the pair enjoys playing together and that they need to continue to enjoy their football as they look to hit the ground running in the 2018/19 season.
You can see what our resident Toffees have been saying about Morgan Schneiderlin here:
SA said just after Xmas that MS had a long way to go before he reproduced the form he showed at Soton. Him and M'llas were in lumber around then. He appears to have taken the criticism on board. Don't underestimate the effect of playing in front of a competent, settled back four.

IMO Schneiderlin have no future at @Everton, I'm happy of his good form as it'll be easier to sell him and easier to get good money for him

Hell be gone in the summer. He’s playing for a move.

MS is the master of the 5 yard pass & usually straight back to the player who gave him the ball, I’ve never actually seen a player so good at actually dropping out of space so that he cannot then receive the ball. Genuinely gutted as I thought he was a good signing on paper #COYB

What does it matter if he's only going to perform when there is no pressure on the team, where was he when we were fighting relegation?

Schneiderlin hasnt been the player i thought he would be by a long way no doubt the boys got potential just needs to be more consistent…0 assists and 0 goals and 2 red cards..say no more as for ganagueye he has been better than most in what can only be described as a bad season

Only taken Schneiderlin all season to put some effort in, just shows he’s more than capable of it but for some reason hasn’t shown it consistently.
