Tottenham Hotspur will host Liverpool on Saturday at Wembley Stadium, however, it is likely one man will not be starting the match.
According to a report by The London Evening Standard, Heung-min Son is thought to be returning to north London today following his successful spell with South Korea and is not expected to start the game at the weekend.
The forward helped guide his country to victory in the Asian Games, which included eight gruelling matches in the space of just under a month.
And, it appears that Mauricio Pochettino has taken that into account and will not burn him out, after an extremely busy football calendar.
The Argentine will simply be happy that his player has returned to the club without any serious injuries, as their own busy period of football is about to set in, with the start of the Champions League for them to deal with.
Tottenham will be delighted to have their South Korean star back with the team and will be pleased to have him available once again.
However, the 26-year-old will surely be exhausted after the amount of football he has played and will be looking to receive a well-earned rest, despite the busy period for the Premier League club.
Spurs have been able to cope without the £45million-rated attacker, as per Transfermarkt, although he would have been useful in the defeat to Watford, Pochettino will feel he has the squad and players available that are capable of challenging Liverpool on Saturday.
