Hibernian on verge of completing deal for Man City’s Thomas Agyepong

Manchester City will be aiming for a repeat of the last campaign as they completely dominated proceedings domestically on their way to securing the Premier League title.

The Citizens have already made strides on the transfer front so far this summer, welcoming former Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez to the Etihad. But, the latest piece of business coming out of Manchester City involves a player exit, as according to the Edinburgh Evening News, a deal to loan Thomas Agyepong to Hibernian has been agreed.

The Ghanaian has passed a medical at Easter Road and it is understood that only a few formalities need to be completed before the 21-year-old joins Hibernian on a season-long loan.

Hibs are confident of obtaining the necessary work permit and SFA endorsement which would allow Agyepong to make the switch to Edinburgh.

Manchester City will be pleased to see the 21-year-old go out on a season-long loan as this will help him progress in a tough Scottish Premiership division.

THE VERDICT:

The Citizens have reportedly agreed a transfer deal to send Thomas Agyepong to Hibernian in the form of a season-long loan. This will delight supporters as it gives the young left-sided player time to progress and develop his skills while enjoying regular first-team football.
