Highly controversial ex-West Ham midfielder drops return hint – Report

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to strengthen during the summer transfer window as they look to find additions to help with their aims.

The Hammers are not safe from the drop just yet, with a six-point gap between them and the bottom three with four games to go, however, a run of positive results in recent weeks have given them genuine hope of retaining their Premier League status.

It is believed that the Irons will not consider bringing any recruits into the club until their future has been decided, however, are reporting that Ravel Morrison may want to head back to the club after more than three years since he departed.

The media outlet are claiming that the midfielder – who is currently on loan at Mexican outfit Atlas Guadalajara from SS Lazio – has made a comment on his Instagram to former teammate Carlton Cole asking him to “bring me back to West Ham you have the power”. The striker had initially told him to “come back to England”.

Morrison left the Hammers permanently in 2015 after being brought to the club in 2012, but things have not worked out for him and he has been on a rebuilding process ever since.

Landlord’s Verdict

The locals in the Tavern will be disappointed that things did not work out for the midfielder during his first stint with the club and will hope he has matured in recent years. However, his career has been plagued by incidents away from the field and, understandably, a number of punters will be concerned if the Hammers attempt to bring him to the London Stadium.
