Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to secure a couple of world-class signings in the summer, as previous transfer window business has worked wonders for the Reds.
Indeed, the Reds will be delighted with how their season has panned out as they’re into the semi-finals of the Champions League, with many of our local residents dreaming of a repeat of the Istanbul final back in 2005. Although, it looks as if Liverpool have suffered a blow on the transfer front, as according to Sky Sports Italia (via Tuttomercatoweb.com), AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson was quoted saying that he is happy at the club.
Interestingly, Sky Sports (via Tuttomercatoweb.com) quotes Alisson saying:
“My future? I am thinking only of the present and of Roma. I am happy here and I have a contract.
“My family is fine and I only think about playing with my team, with whom I feel really good.”
So, it looks as if Liverpool may have to take their search for a ‘keeper elsewhere if he keeps his word, however, the Reds’ two-legged Champions League semi-final tie against Roma may turn into a sort of auction for Alisson, as a couple of accomplished performances could see Klopp offer big money in the summer.
Alisson would be an incredible signing for Liverpool in a position that has caused them trouble over the past couple of years, so they should do anything to bring him to Anfield in the summer transfer window. Although, it looks as if they may have to wait until next year, with the ‘keeper stating that he’s happy at current club AS Roma.
