Highly-rated Arsenal target considering summer exit

Szczesny.jpgArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are reacting to a dramatic U-turn from one of their highly-rated assets, who is open to an exit next summer.

The London Evening Standard run with quotes from Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, currently on-loan with Roma, where the Polish international has revealed he will make a decision on his long-term future at the end of the European Championships next summer.

“My future will be decided after the European Championships,”

“I love Arsenal, but I’m happy at Roma. I know that Roma want me, but I don’t see why Arsenal would not want me also. Leaving Arsenal was painful and it was a difficult decision to make. I can’t imagine myself with another English team.”

“Coming to Rome was the best choice. It’s best being a starter for the runners-up in Italy than sitting on the bench in England. Even Arsene Wenger thought it was the best thing for me.”

Arsenal supporters are concerned as Szczesny is regarded as their long-term number one, although he will find first-team opportunities limited with Petr Cech excelling between the sticks.

Arsenal fans, should Szczesny be allowed to leave next summer? Let us know in the comments below!
