The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping that he will get more of a chance…
Nathan Ake is undoubtedly one of Chelsea’s highest-rated young players – and a move to Bournemouth in the summer was seen as a chance to finalise the progression of the talented Dutchman.
After honing his craft with Watford last season, Ake was expected to kick on and really make an impact with the Cherries this year – but that has not happened as of yet.
Likely signed as a midfielder, Ake was expected to play regularly – but the signing of Jack Wilshere has put somewhat of a dent in those plans.
His lack of game time has, seemingly, frustrated Chelsea – and reports have emerged over the last few weeks that seemed to hint that Chelsea might look to recall the youngster.
Now, for the first time, Ake himself has opened up those reports.
It would appear that Ake is in no mood to give up at Bournemouth – and a goal at the weekend would have certainly improved his confidence.
A versatile defender and midfielder, Ake could become a real jack of all trades for Chelsea – provided that he can make an impact with Bournemouth this year.
The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping that he will kick on and make a go of it from here on out…
