Highly-rated Italian ace should be top of the shopping list for West Ham this summer

West Ham United are hoping to have a massive summer in terms of new signings, and will be looking forward to seeing just who new manager Manuel Pellegrini looks to bring in during what is a crucial window for the club.

The Hammers had a poor campaign on the whole last term, and despite David Moyes steadying the shit somewhat, fans will be excited for the future under the former Man City manager Pellegrini.

Here in the Tavern, some of our punters have been racking their brains alongside our landlord, trying to come up with players who the club could look to sign. After much deliberation, one player who kept getting mentioned was Italian youngster Federico Chiesa, who is valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt.

Still only 20, the youngster had an exceptional season last term, contributing six goals and nine assists, and he really looks like being the next off the conveyor belt of top class Italian players.

Chiesa is already looking like being a quality player who can go on to be one of the best in the world. He has an excellent work ethic to go along with natural ability, something very similar to his father Enrico.

West Ham are looking for big name signings who can make an impact now and for years to come, and Chiesa could well be just the man they turn too.

Hammers fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
