The future is looking extremely bright for English football thanks to a stunning World Cup win by the U20’s out in South Korea.
Thanks to a Dominic Calvert-Lewin strike, the Young Lions came away from Suwon with a 1-0 win over Venezuela on the night, becoming the first England team to taste world cup glory since that famous team in ’66.
And it’s the young Everton man that’s got all the fans here in the pub talking about the potential of future success at Goodison Park, with Wayne Rooney’s early form even being thrown around by some of the supporters lining the bar here in the pub.
They’re a proud bunch and they have every right to be- he becomes just the third player to score in a World Cup final for England and his future continues to look bright after yet another honour which will hold him in good stead for another tough-looking season ahead with the Toffees.
But as you can imagine, Twitter has had a lot to say about his performance in the final so here’s the best of the fallout after the stunning victory…
Lookman, Solanke and Calvert-Lewin future is VERY bright #U20WC

Add Calvert Lewin and Tom Davies who was given time off. The future's bright, the future's blue #efc
Got to give it to Calvert-Lewin but still not ready to do it for Everton first team I think.

Well done #ENGu20 and to Calvert-Lewin for bagging the winner. Great to see the 4 Toffees celebrating together. Huge achievement
Calvert-Lewin great goal, Lookman really sharp. Dowell did well and Kenny was faultless. Great ambassadors for @Everton & our youth setup!
