Liverpool and Chelsea are amongst the teams being mentioned who will look to try and sign current La Liga top scorer Nilmar Honorato Da Silva.
The twenty-six year old has five goals in six games for Villareal so far this season, helping them to second place in the league.
Since his transfer from Lyon in 2009 the Brazilian has been a huge hit in Spain and he was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.
Roy Hodgson will be hoping he has some money to spend in the aftermath of the Liverpool takeover and is said to be interested in a January swoop for the striker as he looks to find an adequate strike partner for Fernando Torres.
A number of European clubs have also been mentioned, with Spanish newspaper MARCA reporting that Nilmar’s performances this season have caught the attention of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
It was thought that Nilmar was looking to join a new club as a way to give his career a boost and force his way into the Brazil teams starting eleven, however given the goal scoring form he has with his current club he may wish to stick around.
Nilmar has a buy-out clause of €60m in his current contract, though it is thought that an offer in the region of €20m would be enough for Villarreal to consider selling their their star striker.
