Liverpool fans here in the Tavern have been filled with pure delight since snapping the unbeaten streak of Manchester City, with many still heading back to the bar after hours of celebrations for the Reds.
Indeed, after Liverpool managed to pull off the impossible to end Pep Guardiola’s sides unbeaten Premier League streak, Reds fans were in fine voice as they hoped for more days like this to come.
However, it wasn’t all smiles for Liverpool fans as the Reds’ injury-hit season claimed another victim. Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster suffered a high ankle sprain after being stretchered off in the U23s’ meeting with Manchester City on Friday night.
For a player that’d enjoyed the best year of his career yet with the U17 World Cup triumph, where he claimed the Golden Boot, this is a major setback for the striker as things were beginning to look promising for the 17-year-old.
As they often do, the Liverpool Twitter account took to posting the news of their academy product Rhian Brewster’s injury.
Rhian Brewster has suffered a high ankle sprain and will undergo further assessments later this week.

Chritchley was quite careless with his comments. He said “we fear for the worst”. You can’t use such words.
