With their Premier League dream getting closer and closer by the minute, the Huddersfield Town fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t stopped partying.
Having already landed striker Laurent Depoitre this summer, the Terriers are underway in the transfer market and the Yorkshiremen propping up our bar are hoping David Wagner can continue to wheel and deal.
Indeed, reports from the Daily Mail have proved rather interesting indeed. They claim the club are ready to table an improved bid for Derby County winger Tom Ince this summer, having reportedly already seen one rejected.
A £7.2m bid is understood to have been snubbed by the Rams, with the 25-year-old key to the promotion plans at Pride Park. However, Huddersfield are not thought to have lost interest yet and a new bid is reportedly expected.
Ince, a graduate of Liverpool’s academy, has Premier League experience following his spells with Blackpool, Crystal Palace and Hull City and his potential arrival has excited our resident Terriers.
For the Derby fans propping up the bar, the notion of losing such a key player is a scary one indeed, with the Rams desperate to finally make a genuine push to the Premier League.
