‘Huge loss for the Champions League’ – Liverpool fans aren’t happy as Klopp suffers blow

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their side will continue the fine form that has seen Liverpool consolidate their position in the top four over the next few weeks.

Prior to the international break, Liverpool were on a very solid run of form, with a sensational 5-0 win over Watford exemplifying that.

Indeed, they’ve hit a good run of form at the perfect time, and so confidence is sky high in the Transfer Tavern.

However, the international break comes with its own set of problems, and Liverpool have suffered a pretty major one during this iteration. According to ESPN, Joe Gomez looks set to miss several weeks worth of action with an injury suffered on international duty with England.

As a result, he’s set to miss a number of crucial fixtures, including an important Premier League run and the double-header against Man City.

This is a pretty big blow for Jurgen Klopp. Gomez is a key player for the German boss, having featured from the start in 19 Premier League games. It’s fair to say that he now faces quite the selection dilemma.

Unsurprisingly, this hasn’t gone down well with the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, many of whom are bemoaning the international break for the additional strain it puts on players.

It’s a similar tale on Twitter, with many fans taking to the site to exclaim their frustration. Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
