Hughes prepared to let Southampton exit happen ahead of first full season in charge

Southampton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting Mark Hughes to ring the changes this summer as they look to be as far away as possible from the bottom of the Premier League table.

The Saints managed to survive with a game to spare and the locals will be desperate not to see their side in the same situation come May next year. They will know that they will need to keep hold of their best players, as well as making additions, and will be keeping an interest in the latest developments.

It has been believed that the club could be prepared to lose Dusan Tadic to Ajax this summer, however, reports emerging from the Daily Echo are appearing to suggest otherwise.

It had been suggested the Serbia international would finalise a move to Amsterdam in the coming days, however, it is now being claimed that a deal is far from being confirmed, although the Saints are prepared to let it happen.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Southampton fans in the Tavern will be disappointed to see Tadic leave the club, having been hugely influential during his time at St. Mary’s.

The 30-year-old winger has come up with a number of goals and assists during his four years on the south coast, however, they will be ready to accept that he wants to return back to Holland and will be turning their attention to who the club signs to replace the star.
