Hugo Lloris’ return is bad news for Paulo Gazzaniga

Hugo Lloris’ return is bad news for Paulo Gazzaniga

Tottenham Hotspur will be preparing to face Barcelona at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be looking to get their first win of the competition against the Spanish giants after they were beaten in the final moments of their match against Inter Milan two weeks ago.

Spurs were without a couple of key players for that game, however, according to the club’s official website, Hugo Lloris is set to make a return.

Pochettino confirmed that his captain had recovered from his thigh injury and stated that the World Cup winner would play if he was ready.

“Hugo is back and available again and of course, he’s our captain and if he’s ready to play he’s going to play,” he told the club’s official site.

Although Lloris’ return will be huge news for Tottenham, it will come as a disappointment to Paulo Gazzaniga.

The Argentine has played in their last three fixtures, which have all come as victories, and will have been looking forward to facing Barcelona on Wednesday.

The Verdict:

The news that Lloris is back will be welcomed by everyone around Tottenham, especially considering he is an experienced professional.

Gazzaniga will have a slight disappointment to him that the France international is back, however, he will know that it is best for the team to have him back available.

The £900k-rated shot-stopper, as per Transfermarkt, has certainly impressed in the opportunity he had and will have forced Pochettino into making a decision in the near future.
