Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are not shocked to hear the news in the The Mirror that Hull City boss Steve Bruce is targeting another one of their senior players with Aaron Lennon the latest player on his wishlist.
Lennon is a Yorkshireman himself after coming through the ranks at Leeds United and a transfer would see him link up with his former Spurs team-mates Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore and Michael Dawson.
He has become Tottenham’s longest serving player after joining from Leeds as an 18-year-old and the former England international will be allowed to leave for around £7 million.
Steve Bruce is confident he will be able to land the 27-year-old but he will face competition from QPR and Stoke City. However, punters feel all the former Spurs players at the KC Stadium will be enough to lure him to Humberside.
The reason he has been made available to leave the White Hart Lane is because he has endured limited game time under Mauricio Pochettino and it is believed that the Spurs boss is trying to pave the way for new signings to arrive in North London.
Tottenham fans. Would you feel comfortable to lose Aaron Lennon or would you prefer to keep the long-serving winger? Let us know your thoughts below.
