The Liverpool supporters in the Transfer Tavern are hoping Jurgen Klopp can strengthen his side in the upcoming January transfer window.
The resident Kopites in the tavern were pleased to see their side in free-flowing goal-scoring form for the third match in succession against Swansea City yesterday evening. Liverpool taught The Swans a footballing lesson at Anfield with 5 high-quality goals in their Premier League encounter. Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for The Reds in the first-half with a thumping effort from the edge of the area before goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and a Firmino brace secured an emphatic victory for Liverpool on Merseyside.
Liverpool’s German midfielder Emre Can made his 15th league appearance of the season in against Swansea just days before he enters the final 6 months of his contract, and is consequently granted the opportunity to speak to clubs from outside of England regarding a free transfer at the end of the season.
Rather surprisingly, it appears that plenty of Liverpool supporters are happy to see the former Bayern Munich prospect depart the club either in January or in the summer.
Although Can has been a regular fixture in Klopp’s starting line-ups this season, it seems that his performances have not inspired The Reds faithful or convinced them that he is an indispensable member of the current squad.
Here’s what the Liverpool supporters had to say about Can’s future on Twitter…
He's played like his heads in Italy too often. Talented, but either go or get back in the game

Yep. To slow to recycle, in possession and wasteful when going forward.

I honestly hope he does. He hasn’t been giving his all since the contract talks. The difference between his effort and Coutinho‘s is night and day.

Yes…but if we can get goretzka in then I will be happy he leaves…

Yes. I trust Klopp but would be happy to see Can moved on.

The Emre Can Fan Club is legitimately the most bizarre thing in the world. Never has one player been less deserving of the regard he’s held in.https://t.co/A7tmNhcOt9
