Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are both delighted and relieved to hear that one of their heroes is returning to the club on a permanent basis.
The fans have been feeling aggrieved in recent years to see the likes of Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp take roles with other clubs but it seems Arsenal have learnt their lesson and will bring in the club’s all-time leading scorer.
The Daily Mail states Arsenal have offered Thierry Henry the position of U-18’s coach next season, with the Frenchman having coached various age groups of the Gunners this season as he earns his UEFA coaching licenses.
Henry’s professionalism and dedication has impressed club officials since he returned to the club, with the Frenchman considering the offer made by the north London giants.
It could be part of a major shake-up to Arsenal’s youth coaching set-up, with current captain Mikel Arteta also offered a position for when his contract expires at the end of the season- as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City aim to hijack the move.
Whilst the fans are excited to see Henry back on a regular basis, they’d like to see him limit his TV appearances as a result as they’re not pleased with some comments he has made this season.
Arsenal fans, is bringing Henry permanently into the Gunners set-up the right move? Let us know in the comments below!
