The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping Jurgen Klopp can sign a replacement number ten to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho this month.
Following one of the lengthiest transfer sagas in recent memory, Liverpool finally waved goodbye to Coutinho this week as he swapped Merseyside for Catalonia in a deal worth a mind-boggling £146 million. Although the deal left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Liverpool supporters, the Brazilian magician will certainly go down as one of the best players to pull on the Liverpool shirt in recent memory.
During his five year career for The Reds, Coutinho scored 54 goals and provided 46 assists from 201 appearances in all-competitions, including plenty of wonder strikes and vital goals against quality opposition.
There is no doubt that he will take some replacing, but Klopp must sign a worthy replacement this month to ensure that Liverpool remain on course to achieve a top-four finish in the Premier League.
The Liverpool supporters on Twitter have already begun discussing a number of targets who could potentially succeed Coutinho, and one name who has attracted notable attention is their former employee and current AC Milan star Suso.
Suso left Liverpool for Milan for a measly £1 million back in January 2015, and following a slow-start, the little Spaniard has now become the star of the show for the Rossoneri.
Unsurpsingly, The Reds faithful on Twitter believe he could be an ideal replacement for Coutinho, and in recent days plenty of supporters have been calling for the club to bring him back to Anfield this month.
Here’s what the supporters had to say about a potential move for Suso…

Never understood why we let him leave. Seems to be doing the business in Italy.

I liked him, technically a very good player, didn't want him to leave, I think we've progessed beyond him since he left though, can't ignore what a manager sees in a player and the possibility of getting more out of him though.
