The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been questioning their club’s ambition as the Blues have been linked with a move for relegated West Brom striker, Salomon Rondon. The big Venezuelan striker scored ten goals in all competitions as the Baggies went down this season and a story in The Daily Mirror claims that Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham are all interested.
Chelsea have currently got both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud employed to score the goals at the top of the pitch, however, Morata has failed to live up to the lofty price tag that Antonio Conte paid for him last summer and Giroud’s game is very centred around his aerial presence. The club will need to invest in another striker who can help share the burden of getting the goals with those already at the club, although the fans doubting that Rondon is that man.
Whilst the goals Rondon has scored over the last couple of years at The Hawthorns have obviously convinced some of the Premier League’s big hitters that he’s capable of notching in the big games for a big club, the fact that he’s now got a relegation on his resume is never good and he’ll be looking to show that he’s capable of more than that with whoever he ends up leaving West Brom for this summer.

I’d rather sign Andy Carrol

Chelsea? Morata, Giroud and Rondon. Gonna get at least 12 goals among them next season.
