Manchester United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure the Premier League title next season after losing out to bitter rivals Manchester City.
The Red Devils will be desperate to bolster their squad this summer as they started to lose their way towards the end of the season. Indeed, Jose Mourinho previously stated that he wants to conduct a defensive overhaul this summer, so there may be a number of outgoings and players joining the club.
Interestingly, Mourinho is already looking at a potential summer transfer window addition, as it’s understood that Manchester United and one other club are leading the chase for Leonardo Bonucci. Although, this would mean that one of United’s current defenders may have to move away from Old Trafford, as there just isn’t enough room for the two of them.
So without further ado, if Bonucci joins United this summer, then it’s surely the end for this defender…
Victor Lindelof, who is valued at £22 million (by Transfermarkt), has made a torrid start to life in the Premier League as he managed to make a number of unforced errors and is yet to live up to the price-tag that was paid for him.
And, with Leonardo Bonucci possibly joining this summer, it looks as if the Swedish international will be pushed even further down the pecking order, which could lead to him departing on loan or permanently.
So, the promising young defender will have to improve massively if he wants to feature for Manchester United at some point in the future.
