Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that the rumours surrounding their star midfielder are not true. Christian Eriksen has been an integral part of Spurs over the past five years, and the fans hope for it to continue into next season.
With reports breaking in the bar, that PSG are rumoured to be ready to make Eriksen their lynchpin in the centre of the park in the summer with a £100m bid. They see the influential Danish international as the turning point in their quest for Champions League glory, many in the darts team believe Eriksen is that good a player.
However, if the Danish star was to leave, Daniel Levy has a job on his hands to replace the player that has brought 14 goals and produced 10 assists this season so far, which will be no easy feat!
Indeed, with a potential £100m to burn, they could bring in a host of talent across Europe – our landlord feels it should be the main focus of the summer and this player is head and shoulders above the rest…
OUR VERDICT – Nabil Fekir
Nabil Fekir is helping Lyon in Ligue 1 climb the table with his 17 goals and six assists this season. Indeed, his range of passing and direct dribbling skillset would certainly mask the Eriksen departure at Spurs. He could be the player to sit just behind Harry Kane much like the Danish star does and strike up a deadly partnership to terrorise Premier League defences.
Nabil Fekir is having one of his best ever seasons in Europe at the moment and, that type of form could convince Levy to take the plunge for him.
