Our Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Mauricio Pochettino will show a few of the deadwood players the door this summer in order to move the team forward, after signing a new five-year deal.
Mauricio Pochettino had masterminded a fantastic rise up the table for Spurs this year, after what was a rocky time in the opening half of the season. Spurs finished third in the league and well within the Champions League spots for next year, which was vital with the new stadium move.
The Spurs fans in the bar will hope to see the team continue their good form and hope to see a trophy during Pochettino’s time at the club, while their young team continues to develop under the Argentine’s attention to detail.
Indeed, there are a few players that simply should not see the new stadium and it hasn’t been a particularly happy time for this flop of a Lillywhite. With that being said, this Tottenham player in question seriously needs to look at finding a new club in the new season…
OUR VERDICT – Moussa Sissoko
Having been used a fair amount this season, the French midfielder surely has no real future at Tottenham. In fact, he’s been a total flop since his hugely expensive move from Newcastle United back in 2016 and looks very much out of place when called upon by Pochettino.
The Sissoko we saw for France at the European Championships two years ago hasn’t shown up for Spurs and the punters propping up our bar think it’s time to leave.
