If Liverpool win the Champions League tonight, it’s the end of these 2 stars at Anfield

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are getting excited over their potentially sixth European Cup victory. However, it’ll have to be some performance to beat Real Madrid who are looking at a third successive win on the trot.

Jurgen Klopp and his men have blown away the majority of the teams they have faced this season with their unique brand of heavy metal football the German has brought to the club. Indeed if Liverpool stand a chance of winning they need that gung-ho attitude to shock Madrid into submission, our regulars feel.

The punters in the bar are hoping that if they do come out victorious tonight then it should be a huge platform for the Reds for next season to build upon and home in on a first Premier League title win.

Indeed, with the win, it would certainly propel Liverpool to the next level and with that in mind, our landlord feels that some players may get left behind as the team move onwards and upwards. Here are his TWO players that should not be at Anfield next season…

OUR VERDICT – Simon Mignolet & Jordan Henderson

The Belgian ‘keeper has been in and out the team a lot this season and more recently has lost his place to Loris Karius. No doubt, Klopp will look to upgrade his GK department if they are to build and move on next season, and that will directly affect the former Sunderland man.

Alongside him, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has had a somewhat rocky season with calls midway through for him to be dropped following a stint of poor displays.

Maybe the holy grail of the Champions League would be the pinnacle of the captaincy for the English man and Klopp may move in a different direction next year to freshen things up.
