Kieran Trippier has been solid for Tottenham this season. Though pretty average in the past, he appears to have upped his game under Pochettino this term, providing a decent option down the right-hand side of the defence.
However, his experience in Europe’s premier competition is limited, and so something else could be needed.
Serge Aurier has typically been Mauricio Pochettino’s option of choice in the Champions League so far this term, having already made 5 appearances in Europe, and that experience could come in handy.
He’s yet to make himself the undisputed starter on the right-hand side of the defence, but another strong showing in Europe from Aurier could get people talking.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
