Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern will be pleased with their last performance, as they managed to secure all three points against Chelsea at St James’ Park.
The Magpies will be looking to improve on things in the summer transfer window after flirting with relegation at one point, but many of our local residents are more focused on getting rid of a number of the club’s underperforming players.
Indeed, Newcastle struggled to find the back of the net at times this season as their strikers just couldn’t buy a goal. And, one man who was at fault for this was summer signing Joselu, who only managed to score four goals in 31 appearances for the Magpies. So, with the Spaniard currently being valued at £3.6 million (by Transfermarkt), perhaps Rafa Benitez will look to trade him in for some cash in the summer transfer window.
With that in mind, if Joselu never plays for Newcastle again, it’ll be far too soon…
The Spaniard has been woeful this season as he continues to struggle in the Premier League, and many of our local northerners would even go as far as saying that he has been one of the club’s worst ever signings.
Indeed, the striker just hasn’t been able to find his feet since making the move in the summer transfer window, as he looks to have played his final game for Newcastle United.
Rafa Benitez will realize that he has made a huge mistake by bringing Joselu to St James’ Park, so supporters can expect a number of attacking additions over the course of the summer.
