The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been questioning whether or not they will ever sign Jorginho. The club have been in talks to sign him for weeks now and the deal could finally be about to be wrapped up. According to Corriere dello Sport, via Football Italia, the Italian international is “pretty much a City player” and will be announced at the beginning of July.
Jorginho can now practically be considered a Manchester City player. Before travelling to England to sign his contract, he will pass by Naples to say farewell to his friends. His move to City could be announced at the beginning of July. [Corriere dello Sport] pic.twitter.com/oHu4wJsO5g

There isn’t a Man City fan in the Tavern who isn’t sick of hearing news on the Jorginho transfer, and there isn’t a journalist in England who isn’t sick of writing about it. The Italian international wants a move to City and Pep Guardiola wants him in Manchester. Because of that, the deal should have been quite simple, however, this transfer has been anything but simple.
The Citizens will be hoping that if anyone else joins the club this summer that the deal to bring them in is much simpler. Overall, a club of City’s stature really shouldn’t be struggling to get transfers over the line, but with the stubbornness of Napoli’s negotiating the deal has been blown out of proportion and taken much longer than it should have done, leading to frustration from everyone who has had to endure the deal.

I’ll believe it when I see it…. he hasn’t signed anything so he’s practically still a Napoli player!
