The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern are still in shock…
It has been a mixed old season for Leeds. With Gary Monk at the helm, The Whites impressed for much of the campaign, with many in the Transfer Tavern touting them for promotion to the Premier League at the end of the campaign.
Unfortunately for them, though, the side struggled towards the end of the campaign and eventually missed out on on the Play-offs by the skin of their teeth, leaving the fans in the pub devastated.
Nonetheless, many in the pub were still happy with Monk and the job that he was doing, with fans hoping for him renew his deal and stay with the club long-term. However, in a shock announcement earlier today, it has been revealed that the manager has left the club, leaving the entire Transfer Tavern in shock.
For the successor, it is going to be a very job, and the news has left our Leeds supporting punters crying into their pint glasses.
The manager that comes in is going to need to lead a very big revamp at the club, and so a big name will be needed. The Leeds fans truly aren’t sure who they want, but they have – it seems – decided who they DON’T want to come in. Indeed, Aitor Karanka is receiving a lot of negative reaction whenever his name is touted with the job in the pub, and the Whites’ fans on Twitter have had a very similar reaction.
With many hoping for someone else to come in, Karanka is not a very popular figure. See what they had to say below…
Hard to think of an outstanding candidate. Really don't want Karanka #LUFC

Gutted about Monk going! Done an amazing job for us. Hope we not looking at Moyes/Karanka…Ranieri for me would be a class move. #LUFC #MOT

If Monk doesn't wanna be here, so be it. He wasn't sacked. Long term plans were there for everyone to see. But please, not Karanka #lufc
