The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that AC Milan have made multiple bids for Belgian midfielder, Mousa Dembele, according to Sport Italia via CalcioMercato. The 30-year-old midfield general has been in the form of his life for The Lilywhites over the last few seasons, attracting attention from all over Europe, although Spurs fans will not want to see their man depart any time soon.

The last three seasons have seen Tottenham go from Europa League fodder to a side that look like they can compete for the Premier League title under Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine’s brilliant impact at the club is clear to see, and a lot of that is down to the fact that the club relies on the collective, as opposed to individuals. With that being said though, losing Dembele would be a catastrophic loss, as the Belgian maestro would be near impossible to replace cheaply.
The midfielder turns 31 in July and it’s likely that the star only has one big contract left in him. The club opened contract talks with Dembele earlier in the season, although both parties agreed to hold off talks until the summer. Now the summer is upon us, and Dembele has a World Cup to look forward to, the Spurs fans propping our bar up will want to see their reliable Belgian put pen to paper as they prepare for Pochettino’s fifth year in charge of the club.
