The Chelsea supporters in the Transfer Tavern are STILL revelling in delight having won the Premier League, yet they are disappointed at the news of a departure.
Despite winning the Premier League with a record number of victories, Chelsea fans will wave goodbye to Bertrand Traore who has joined Olympique Lyonnais on a five-year-contract.
The 21-year-old testified his status as one of the club’s key starlets having scored four goals in 16 appearances in the 2015/16 season.
Traore maintained this fine form at Ajax, where he scored a respectable total of 13 goals in 35 appearances.
Indeed, the Burkina Faso international established himself as one of Ajax’s key talents as they reached the final of the Europa League.
Nonetheless, Chelsea have opted to part ways with their promising striker.
Our landlord suggests that this could prove to be a poor financial deal for the newly crowned Champions.
Lyon signed the striker for a fee of €10m (£8.8M) and while Chelsea do retain a 15% sell-on clause, it is conceivable that the Blues could have demanded a larger fee for a player that exhibits such potential.
The Chelsea supporters in the Transfer Tavern have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at Traore’s departure….
He was a proper talent. Shame it did not work out.

With the inflation of the marked, it should have been 20mil at least. Also why are we letting our most talented players go on sale?!
