The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to think that the end of his Chelsea career is coming…
John Terry’s fall from the Chelsea first team has been unfortunate, but everyone knew that it was coming. A stalwart in his time, the years have slowly been catching up to the Chelsea captain – and under Antonio Conte his role within the Blues’ first team has diminished significantly.
This has led many Chelsea’s fans into making the assumption that the Englishman could look to part ways with the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season, and given his age – many even think that he could retire.
Terry himself has today hinted that that could be his conclusion, too, with the defender posting an image on his Instagram displaying him studying coaching books as he continues his foray into earning his coaching badges.

With Terry not featuring in the Premier League for months, it appears clear that the Englishman is preparing for life after football – with a focus on coaching seemingly his desire following his departure from the game.
Our landlord thinks that whilst Terry could yet continue, retiring at the end of the season could be the best decision for him – with a return to Chelsea in a backstage role an inevitability.
