According to ESPN, Gedion Zelalem is set for a loan move to League One side Bolton Wanderers, with the youngster keen to gain more experience in England.
The American midfielder joined the Arsenal youth system in 2013, after spells with a number of youth sides across Europe. He progressed through to the Arsenal first team a year later, eventually making his debut for Arsenal in the 2013-14 season.
One particularly vocal member of the Arsenal faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern has been touting him for greatness ever since.
To date that remains his only first team cap with the Gunners, though during the 2015-16 campaign he impressed during a loan move with Rangers.
Whilst he is highly rated at Arsenal, a slew of midfield depth has forced Zelalem down the pecking order with the club – meaning a loan move is increasingly likely this year according to our landlord.
ESPN add that a number of clubs are very keen on the youngster, but with Wenger likely keen to seal a deal up quickly; Bolton are leading the chase for the in-demand midfielder.
