Ince enters the Burnley running

Former Blackburn manager Paul Ince has entered the running to become Burnley boss after the departure of Owen Coyle last week.

Currently in his second spell as manager of MK Dons, Ince has seen his name entered into the fray which will come as a shock to some especially considering his 6 month spell in charge at Ewood Park.

Yet it is said that Burnley think Ince,42, has the qualities and mentality to succeed at this level despite his calamitous spell in charge of Blackburn.

Ince’s side crashed out to Burnley in the FA Cup at the start of the month but it is thought that his team’s performance impressed and with Ince still harbouring thoughts of succeeding as a manager in the Premier League, a tenure in charge of Burnley could be ideal.

Following his spell up in Lancashire, Ince re-signed as manager of MK Dons this past July on a 2 year contract and the Milton Keynes club currently sit in 8 position in League One.

Burnley have already announced that Martin Dobson will be in charge of Saturday’s game against Manchester United so it appears that any deal to bring Ince to Turf Moor (if such a deal exists) is still in it’s early stages.
