Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to wholesale changes to their squad this summer under a new manager and it appears he’s identified the two players he wants to focus on signing this summer.
The London Evening Standard states Antonio Conte has placed Roma duo Radja Nainggolan and Kostas Manolas at the top of his transfer wish-list, as he looks to improve the west London outfit after a disastrous season.
Conte officially takes charge at Stamford Bridge after Italy’s campaign at the European Championships draws to a close and it’s stated the Roma pair are at the top of a long list of transfer targets, which also includes Everton forward Romelu Lukaku and Napoli’s record-breaker Gonzalo Higuain.
Powerful midfielder Nainggolan, 28, and Greek defender Manolas, 24, will bolster Chelsea in two crucial areas ahead of Conte’s first season in the Premier League, where the Blues will aim to force their way back into the European football spots.
However, our landlord feels their lack of European football next season could cost them when negotiating deals for this pair.
Chelsea fans, how do you feel this pair will fair at Stamford Bridge? Let us know in the comments below!
