Chelsea will let goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois leave Stamford Bridge this summer in news that will alert potential suitors Real Madrid towards his availability.
The Spanish giants were reportedly interested in wrapping up a world record £79 million deal for the Belgian stopper and The Mirror are now reporting that incoming boss Antonio Conte will sanction a sale.
The contingent of Blues fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been mightily disappointed with the stopper’s form this season and very few will be too fussed if he is sold in the summer.
The article which has been found by the landlord also confirms that the Blues will look to sign Southampton stopper Fraser Forster as a replacement for the outgoing Courtois, with Conte a huge fan of the England goalkeeper.
One Chelsea fan is sat waiting for the Saturday night open mic night to begin here in the Tavern and he thinks the club are right to cash in on the under performing Courtois, stating that Forster will be a more consistent option to play between the posts for the club next season.
Chelsea fans, would you sell Courtois? Is Forster an able replacement for the outgoing keeper?
