Incoming Manchester United boss set to be handed £200M transfer kitty, winning the Premier League title is main objective

jose mourinhojose mourinho98Jose Mourinho is expected to be handed the managerial position at Manchester United later this week, with a clear object to secure the Premier League title for the Portuguese boss.

The ex-Chelsea boss will replace the outgoing Louis van Gaal who has fallen on his sword after a brand of unattractive football and several transfer market failings, with Mourinho tasked with reviving the Red Devils’ fortunes.

According to the Daily Star, the controversial manager will be handed a kitty of £200 million and be given total control of the club’s transfers -something which hasn’t always been the case at his previous clubs.

Mourinho has been drawing up a shortlist of targets for several weeks now and is set to get straight down to business upon his appointment at Old Trafford.

United’s squad at present is full of exciting, young potential and it remains to be seen which areas in particular Mourinho will be keen to strengthen.

One United fan is sat chatting with the landlord here in the Transfer Tavern and he thinks that it could take more than £200 million in order to turn the club back into genuine title contenders.

Manchester United fans, how much of an impact will Mourinho have at the club? How much will he need to spend in order to get it right?
