The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been congratulating their club’s all-time record goalscorer, Sergio Aguero on his first ever inclusion in the PFA’s Premier League team of the year. The Argentine has won the Golden Boot and scored 199 goals in his seven years at City, and has now finally been included in the team.
In his seventh season as a Manchester City player, after previously winning the Golden Boot, scoring 199 goals, and bagging the most famous goal in Premier League history… Sergio Aguero FINALLY makes the TOTY! pic.twitter.com/WyWfnTi2Ef

The fact that Aguero hasn’t ever been included in the prestigious team of the year before is ludicrous in itself. The striker scored the most famous goal in Premier League history at the end of the 2011/12 season and yet still wasn’t given a place in the team. Now though, he’s finally been recognised alongside three of his City teammates for his incredible performances this season, despite having more competition than ever in the form of Gabriel Jesus.
The 29-year-old has scored 21 goals in his 25 Premier League appearances for the Citizens this season, sitting behind only Harry Kane and Mo Salah in 3rd. His goals have helped shoot Pep Guardiola’s incredible team of winners to his third Premier League title in his seven years with the club, and at the age of 19, he’ll be hoping he can add a couple more before he hangs up his boots. His inclusion will be made even more special as his future was unclear at the start of Guardiola’s reign, with fans and pundits suggesting that he would be deemed surplus to requirements under the Spaniard.

This must be a dream cause he should of won it some many times

Incredible Striker, technically the best there has been in years, seems on the surface a genuinely nice person too.

Glad he's finally makes is this season but it's just laughable that he hasn't made others in the past when he should of.

Long overdue, but I feel if it was between Sterling/Sane and him THIS season, it should have been them over Aguero. He was cruelly not included before though, so I guess that makes it up for him..
