Here in the Transfer Tavern, there’s many calling for Arsene Wenger to call it time at Arsenal but it appears one leading candidate has had his name crossed off the Gunners shortlist.
Gazzetta World reports that Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti is confident The Nerazzurri will keep hold of Roberto Mancini for the next season, stating Inter are set for a strong finish in the Serie A standings.
Amidst the criticism directed towards Arsene Wenger, who’s side have endured an awful run in all competitions in the past two months, former Manchester City manager Mancini has been touted as a potential replacement.
However, Inter legend Zanetti revealed Mancini is extremely committed to the club and doesn’t believe he will leave this summer.
“The club is clearly committed to him and even Roberto is keen to remain with us. Right now we are focused on the end of our season as it will be very challenging, but I think we will be able to press forward.”
Inter are currently locked in a fierce battle for a third-place finish in Serie A, which would see the club return to the Champions League next season.
