Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been given a double boost by comments made by an insider, who suggests a major transfer could take place imminently.
Metro quote the father of Everton ace Romelu Lukaku, Roger, as stating he expects his son to complete a move before next month’s European Championships and he fancies Manchester United to land his signature.
‘Everton are asking around £65m for Rom. I think a transfer will be done before the Euros. Romelu will decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is an honest man.’
‘Now, with Romelu it will be quickly arranged. Has the transfer been sorted? Almost. I think it will be in place before the European Championship. At the moment I think Manchester United or Bayern Munich are most suitable for him, especially Bayern.’
‘He won’t go to Italy, because they keep it closed at the back, too difficult for an attacker. What is certain, to continue to make progress, he needs to change clubs, but we are mainly engaged in making the right choice.’
With pretty much solid confirmation that the striker will leave Everton this summer, our landlord is debating which clubs will make a move and he has placed a bet on Paris Saint-Germain, who will be actively looking for a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
