Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are coming under increasingly more pressure from Inter Milan after talkSPORT revealed their president is confident they can land Yaya Toure in the summer.
As mentioned previously by the landlord in the Tavern, Roberto Mancini is desperate to bring the Ivorian to Serie A and he hopes to do so with a bid of around £12m.
The figure is surprisingly small for a player of his quality, but the funds do not fall short when it comes to his salary, as it is reported he will earn £220,000 per week.
Toure’s controversial agent, Dimitri Seluk, has claimed that his client is indispensable to the former Premier League champions but this will not stop Inter’s efforts.
As it is believed they are set to submit their official bid once the midfielder has returned from their post-season tour of North America.
Inter’s honorary president, Massimo Moratti, says he is confident that they can swiftly secure the move.
“It could move forward well,” Moratti, who was the club’s president for 18 years, told reporters.
“I feel pretty confident in the Inter board. [Coach Roberto] Mancini likes him very much, I would guess that he’ll arrive.”
