Manchester City fans here in the Tavern are ecstatic with the way their side has dominated proceedings, but feel like Pep Guardiola should turn his attention to the future of the club.
The Citizens have been unstoppable this season in the Premier League as the title looks set to rock up at the Etihad, a deserved reward for the tireless efforts of Pep Guardiola and his team in what’s been a record-breaking season. Still, when you put yourself in a commanding position like Manchester City have, youngsters will be overlooked until the job is done. As according to reports in the Mail Online, Premier League and Championship clubs are interested in Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
The youngster has been floating around the side in cup games this season as he continues to look for a way into the side. But, it appears as if his first taste of regular first-team football will be away from the Eithad, as the signing of Aymeric Laporte has cleared the way for a loan move. Indeed, Championship side Sheffield Wednesday were looking to bring him to Hillsborough, but it’s believed that a whole host of Premier League and Championship clubs are now set to join the race.
And, his seven appearances in City’s high-flying first-team this season just goes to highlight the trust that Guardiola has in the 20-year-old, and it’s safe to say that the youngster has rewarded his manager with some quite astonishing displays. Nevertheless, the England U-19 international is highly-rated by everyone at the club, as his time away in regular first-team minutes will be watched closely by the prying eyes of both England and Guardiola.
The defender is definitely one for the future at the Etihad after displaying some world class performances already with the club, as extended minutes in competitive football will only go to progress the youngster. And, if the suited club does end up being in the Premier League, then that may well prepare the 20-year-old for a shock involvement in the City squad next season.
