Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see a major deal completed quickly, after comments from the target himself stating he wants his future resolved imminently.
The Daily Star quotes Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka as stating he’d like his transfer situation resolved before this summer’s European Championship, which kicks-off in under a month in France.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a mammoth move for the 23-year-old Swiss international captain, which would make Xhaka one of their most expensive signings in history, but a final outcome is yet to be forthcoming.
The Gunners themselves will want a deal wrapped up as soon as possible, whilst Xhaka himself as revealed he’s eyeing a quick resolution.
“I would be happy if everything is resolved before the European Championship. It will be better for me if I go into such a big tournament with no worries in my mind. And for that, it would be good if I know where I will play next season.”
“I owe a lot to Borussia and had so many good years. If I have to leave, I would say a proper goodbye.”
Our landlord believes Xhaka is ready for an exit from Gladbach and that Arsenal have everything in their hands to complete a deal quickly, so he’s urging them not to slip up.
