Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their transfer hopes given a push by an unlikely source, who has pushed a star striker to seal a transfer to north London this summer.
Metro, citing quotes from the BBC World Service, state Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Gabon international colleague, Daniel Cousin, has picked Arsenal as the perfect destination for the sensational 26-year-old forward.
‘Arsenal, because the team play very well but the team need another striker to win the title. And I think if he plays with Mesut Ozil, he will give good assists. I think he can play very well with this team.’
Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to cash-in on their formidable striker but speculation on the player’s future has increased in the past week after it emerged he was given international leave, with his coach stating it was to sort out a transfer.
The German club have dismissed those reports as ‘total nonsense’ but big movers are expected this summer and Aubameyang could certainly be one of them.
