International striker reveals intention to leave Liverpool this summer

BalotelliLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have become accustomed to their prized players being lured to other clubs in the market, although they’re not to concerned about these reports.

ESPN quote Mario Balotelli as stating his intention to remain with AC Milan next season and to leave Liverpool, where he has proved to be a massive flop following a £16m transfer to Anfield in 2014.

The striker struggled to make an impression during his only season at Liverpool and was promptly sent back on-loan to AC Milan for this season, where he’s managed to find the net just once in the Serie A.

Despite the poor form, Balotelli is settled in Milan and wants a return this summer, which is possible amidst speculation the Italian outfit possess a €7m purchase clause in his loan deal.

“What I want is certainly to stay at Milan. I was not happy at Liverpool and I do not want to go back there. I’ve been doing well in my last two games, there are another six for me to prove myself.”

“I feel in good shape physically at last and am relaxed. Besides, Milan have the money!”

With a total of just two league goals in the last two seasons, fans are unlikely to miss Balotelli at all.
