Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are thankful that they’re approaching the end of an extremely troublesome season, though their split with their views regarding the latest piece of news.
Pato arrived in the mid-season window and struggled to make an impression initially, before shining on his debut, though it’s still expected the 26-year-old will return to parent club Corinthians when his deal expires at the end of the campaign.
However, Pato reveals he has other plans:
“In every training session I was visualising what it would be like in a match. I never gave up and always wanted to train more. When Guus [Hiddink] gave me the chance to play I was very happy. Scoring that goal was a weight off my shoulders.”
“I know that I still need more games to show my value. I feel that my body and mind are strong. My aim is to stay here in Europe and continue at Chelsea.”
