International team-mate urges Arsenal star to join European giants

AlexisArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are crying out in disbelief after the latest twist in a series of unfortunate events, which suggest they could lose a prized asset this summer.

Metro quotes Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, a team-mate of Alexis Sanchez on the international stage, has urged the Chilean maestro to join him at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Speculation this year has been rife to suggest the Bavarian powerhouses are keen on a move for the Copa America star and Arsenal fans are concerned he could be lured away by a more competitive side, given their struggles this season.

When asked whether he believed the rumours linking Alexis to Bayern were true, Vidal stated he’d love to play with his compatriot again.

‘Hopefully. We have played together since playing for the Under-20s, so it would be nice to play with him again!’

Another awful weekend for Arsenal saw them concede third-placed spot in the Premier League to Manchester City, who could open up a three-point gap if they beat Newcastle United tonight, and the Gunners season has quickly turned from a title battle to a top-four dogfight.
