The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been waxing lyrical over their young prodigy striker, Eddie Nketiah. The youngster played a pivotal role as England’s u21s waltzed to a 3-1 win over Scotland’s U21s in the semi-final of the Toulon tournament. The 19-year-old set up the Three Lions’ equaliser before grabbing two goals for himself as the pint-sized England side set up a final against Mexico’s U21s.

Eddie Nketiah is a name that has been rattling around for a while now. The youngster came off the bench against Norwich in the League Cup back in October and the equalising goal to send the game to extra-time before netting the winner just six minutes into the first period of added time. The youngster has since been a consistent feature on the Arsenal bench and fans have been calling for his development to be fast-tracked as they look ahead to a bright future under Unai Emery.
The 19-year-old poacher has goals aplenty in his boots and he’s showing that in abundance for the young England squad this summer, with a number of the nation’s senior players looking to emulate his goalscoring form in Russia. Nketiah managed 12 goals in his 13 appearances for Arsenal’s U23s in the Premier League 2 and the consistent goal-getting has convinced many that he deserves a shot with the Arsenal seniors going into the new season.
