Is this proof that Man City let this lethal forward leave too soon?

The Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern think so…

Edin Dzeko was always a reliable hand during his time in Manchester, often popping up with goals when the Sky Blues needed them most.

In fact, he scored a pretty impressive 50 in 130 appearancesĀ during his tenure with the club.

Dzeko’s problem was that whilst he was efficient, he did not have a playstyle that suited the Citizens – and with a player like Sergio Aguero in front you; your chances are always going to be limited.

The Bosnian forward was sold to Roma last summer, and he appears to be relishing his renewed role in Italy.

And whilst City aren’t doing too badly in England either; they could maybe do with what he is providing Roma…

As per OptaPaolo on Twitter, Edin Dzeko has had the most shots out of any player in Europe’s top 5 leagues – firing in an impressive 40 so far.

See the tweet below…

Granted, this has only resulted in 5 goals – but that is still a proficient record for a striker that was considered ‘second-rate’ by the City fans in the Tavern.

Our landlord thinks he was let go too soon…
